Why do we require you to become an affiliate?

Our mission is to celebrate and save animals. Part of saving animals is to prevent the sale of them through puppy and kitten mills and pet stores that sell animals. We do not allow these kinds of businesses to host our events, because having an AMN event would only add to their pockets and the exploitation and overpopulation of unwanted pets in the U.S.

We do however believe in the right for Americans to choose the breed of dog or cat they want. More and more, working dogs that are bred for a specific purpose, such as herding dogs, guide dogs or drug and bomb sniffing dogs are generally pure bred, and while mutts are becoming widely used now in working and service arenas, many police departments still like to employ German Shepherds as their fur covered compadres, because of their intelligence and inherent skill level and to keep our streets and homes safe. Because of this, we would never look down upon breeders that give life to these amazing animals. So when it comes to "reputable" breeders wanting to host an event, we will look at each applicant on a case by case basis, thoroughly investigating the practices and reputation of each businesses, to ensure our mission is not compromised in any way. Also, there is a rescue group for almost every pure breed cat or dog. If you are interested in only a pure breed pet, please Google "pure breed rescues" to find your new furry family member that awaits a loving home.

By registering your satellite event, you will be verified to the public and listed on the holiday website relating to your event, as a registered affiliate. Not only does this lend credibility to your event, but helps to give it the much needed exposure it deserves to be as successful as possible! We have several affiliate levels available to help you gain as much exposure as possible.

Our one rule and main objective of each affiliate event is that you allow at least one local rescue or shelter to have free space at your event to display the animals in their care who are looking for new homes, or donate at least 50% of your proceeds to an animal welfare organization or shelter in your city (you will be required to provide proof of payment).

Also, don't be fooled by counterfeit events! If you see an AMN event being promoted that is not listed on our site, you and everyone else will know that this event is not approved and supported by AMN. Our legal department works very hard to enforce our policies, ensuring the integrity of our program and the success of your event. If you see an AMN event that is not listed on our site, please notify us as soon as possible.


So why host an event?

You will receive local recognition, giving your friends, family and neighbors a wonderful way to celebrate the animals in their lives and more importantly, helping to find homes for orphaned animals in your community and supporting your local animal rescue groups.

♥ It increases your visibility in the community, giving your business the much needed exposure that all businesses need to compete in today's competitive economy.

♥ It demonstrates your personal and business integrity and compassion for the well being of animals.

♥ It gives you an opportunity to reach out to potential customers and the news media, offering added exposure to a special service or product available to the public.

♥ It stimulates local economy, bringing animal lovers to your event from all over your region and possibly beyond, who will patronize your local businesses and, if you have them, buy wares from the vendors at your event.

A listing of your event details by state. This list will be available to all local news and print media upon request. Each holiday website receives at least 50,000 visitors per state, per month. This includes potential sponsors, vendors and families looking for fun, pet friendly family events to attend.

Package #2 - Special Feature - (Profit Company/City/Zoo - $500)  (Nonprofit - $200) (Public Library $200) (Public Schools $200) (Private Schools $400)
This package includes the above, plus a custom designed web page built to promote your event that includes your logo (if applicable) up to 10 photos and includes details of the event, including linked sponsor logos, vendor info, press info and downloadable event forms. Great for businesses that do not have their own website or for those who would have to incur additional expense to incorporate all of this info their existing site!!

Package #3 - Ultimate Celebration - (Profit Company/City/Zoo - $1800) (Nonprofit - $999) (Public Library $999) (Public Schools $999) (Private Schools $1200)
Includes all of the above in Package #1 and #2, plus a custom designed flier and banner for your event (you print) and a local newswire press release written by our PR experts that will be distributed to local media sources in your area and a copy offered to you for distribution to your client list and email groups.
